Our Tallow Sun Balm is free from toxic chemicals and common chemical filters found in many sun products. We use only truly natural ingredients: tallow, cold-pressed oils, and pure essential oils. It's natural, safe, and absorbs perfectly into the skin.
Which ingredients offer sun protection?
Non-nano Zinc Oxide acts as a physical shield between your skin and the sun. Its non-nano nature means it stays on the skin's surface, reflecting, refracting, and partially absorbing UV rays. Our formulation includes 20% Zinc Oxide.
Raspberry Seed Oil naturally absorbs UVA and UVC rays, making it ideal for a sun balm. Rich in Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and beta-carotene, it protects and prevents oxidative damage to the skin.
Coconut Oil offers mild sun protection and helps soothe sun-irritated skin.
Our unique blend of pure cocoa butter, vanilla extract, and essential jojoba seed oil provides a warm, soothing aroma that transports you to Mediterranean beaches.

What SPF is the balm?
As our product has not undergone official testing to determine its precise SPF, we cannot label it with an exact SPF value. However, to provide some context, our Sun Balm contains 20% Zinc Oxide. Typically, each 1% of Zinc Oxide corresponds to approximately 1.5 SPF units, suggesting that our Sun Balm offers protection similar to SPF 30. Remember to reapply the balm every two hours and after swimming or vigorous activity to ensure continuous protection.
When should I use this Sun Balm?
We believe that sunlight is essential for optimal health. However, there are occasions when extended sun exposure is necessary or desired, making sun protection crucial. For those times when you cannot avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, we recommend using Tallow Sun Balm.
How do I use this product?
Apply a generous amount to your face and body 30 minutes before sun exposure. For extended periods in the sun, reapply every 2 hours and after swimming or vigorous activity. As this is a physical sunscreen, it is crucial to use generous amounts and reapply regularly to prevent sunburn. For additional protection, wear hats and white clothing.
Does it leave a white residue on the skin?
Every sun product containing this amount of non-nano zinc oxide will inevitably leave some degree of white residue. We've designed ours to glide smoothly and blend easily into the skin, making the white cast less noticeable. To reduce the visibility of the white cast, apply it in a few thin layers, gently massaging it into the skin until fully absorbed.
Is it safe for babies or children?
Yes, it's safe for babies and children, but we do recommend “patch testing” with a small amount of the balm to ensure a good results before using regularly.
